Hi, I’m Elana!

I’m a food and bakery scientist, recipe developer, food photographer, and all-around food nerd. I studied Food Science at Ohio State and then went on to study Bakery Science at The American Institute of Baking. I’ve studied all the rules of baking so I can teach you which ones can be broken in the pursuit of confidently creating more original desserts. I’m glad you’re here!
